Homeschooled is a heartwarming documentary that follows a group of high schoolers as they prepare for prom while navigating the unique world of homeschooling. The film challenges common misconceptions about homeschooling by celebrating the unconventional coming-of-age experiences of these young individuals. Award-winning filmmaker Niki Koss—known for her transformative work on the Freeform series Famous In Love and her impactful roles in independent films—brings her passion for breaking societal norms to this project. Inspired by a conversation about the missed milestones of homeschoolers, Koss created Homeschooled to showcase how even in non-traditional settings, the magic of prom and self-discovery can flourish, leaving both the subjects and the audience profoundly moved.
